Well made three quater grooved axe found near Dewitt Missouri in Carroll County by N. Winfree in the 1950s. It is 4-1/2" long lots of patina and mineralization. It has a very a very nice clean nit with no damage and light polish. The base of the axe has a shallow fluting. The pole end has two small areas of damage that do no detract from the appearance of the axe. Ex/ Ed Simmermon collection.
